The intresting thing I learned 1. Not much plant life because the sun light does not reach there 2. Not many fish live there because it is dark there. 3. And human can go there in a submarine. Ahmad khan
The first is: I thought that the vampire squid was super-duper cool, how it has bioluminesent bacteria on it's arms that glowed to confuse the fish, of it's prey and its predators.
The second is: I thought that the thought that the really awesome cool mantarays could weigh 2 TONS!!! I thought that that was amazing.
The third is: I also thought that it was weird how some of the fish could be like transparent, and so thin, and have like such little to them and still be a living organism, and be so cool with their amazing lights and such. It just so fascinating to learn about.
What I thought was really interesting was that the shapes of the creatures that live in the deep ocean were really weird and unusual. Another thing I thought was interesting was that the creatures down there can live without sunlight because if the marine snow. I also thought that how the creatures could survive in really cold and dense waters was interesting too.
Some things I found intresting where that there are creatures that can rezembel other ones near the surface. I also thought that a 1 or 2 ton manta ray way intresting. The last thing I thought way intresting was that animals are able to survive down there and adapt into strange things. Tyler N
Well there are many. First kinda what Emelia said the animals are less active, so that means also less animals. There are also new creatures down there that have never been seen before that is pretty cool. Some are like really tiny and some are big like the vampire squid and I don't remember the little ones name but like Sakara said it was like so tiny it was transparent.
One thing I found was some deep sea animals travel up to get food. Another thing that was interesting was that some deep sea animals make their own light. The last thing was that the Vampire squid trickes its prey by using its lights on its tentitcuals.

2. I found it very interesting how many different creatures there are and that there is species we don't even know about down there in the ocean. Like Sakara said all those cool animals and there are prorably more we don't even know about down there in the deep ocean.

Another thing I have learned and relized is now I know why Photosynthesis only happens on the surface ocean because I first thought that surface ocean meant the bottom of the ocean or the ocean floor but now I know that it is to dark and the pressure is to much for the plants to produce photosyntheisis and another reason they can't produce is like what Ahmad said sunlight can't reach the bottom of the ocean.
Before todays lesson i didn't know that we had the submarine tech. that could withhold the great presure of such heavy water. I also didn't know that "fish" that live in that water have adapted to well that they actually provide their own light by using some material in the water as an electrical source to power a sort of light bulb on their body! Finally, another thing i didn't before today's lesson was that 'marine snow' is little bits of plankton that float around in the ocean to feed the other animals that live down deep.

Third I thought it was interesting that if a spider crab from the deep ocean, with all the pressure came out of the ocean, it would explode.
